Suzuki Swift claims Japanese Car of the Year Award

The Suzuki Swift is now available in Australia in a new-generation model and heading into 2018 the big-selling Suzuki small car now comes with another major accolade.
It’s just been announced that the Suzuki Swift is the winner of the 2018 RJC (Automotive Researchers’ and Journalists’ Conference of Japan) Car of the Year award.

This is the third time that the Swift has won the coveted award after the first and second-generation versions (of the global Swift) took the award home in 2005 and 2010 respectively.
In announcing the Swift as Car of the Year, the RJC said the model is as enjoyable as it is versatile.
“The Swift offers a good variety of models to a wide range of users, especially the newly launched in Japan Swift Sport with six-speed manual transmission which has excellent driving performance, manoeuvrability, and sporty characteristics.”
Coming soon to Australia – 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport.
The RJC Car of the Year award is selected from a list of Japanese domestic models launched between November 2016 and October 2017.
