Jaguar Land Rover autonomous tech takes to the roads

This week we covered stories about flying cars and hydrogen tech – but its autonomous driving technologies that seem to grab your attention (the behindthewheel.com.au readers) the most.
Now comes some major strides ahead by the guys at Jaguar Land Rover.

The British marques have just reported that their vehicles, fitted with self-driving capability, have started driving themselves around on UK roads.
Jaguar Land Rover is taking part the first road tests for autonomous and connected vehicles in the UK and they report that at this stage everything is going along swimmingly.
“Testing this self-driving project on public roads is so exciting, as the complexity of the environment allows us to find robust ways to increase road safety in the future.” Nick Rogers, Executive Director – Product Engineering, Jaguar Land Rover
